When it comes to stunning design, it is perhaps unsurprising that yachts offer the most luxurious and desirable interior spaces. A superyacht charter provides guests the opportunity to experience an exclusive lifestyle enjoyed only by a privileged few and also access to some of the most stunning interior designs in the world.

67.20 metre sailing yacht VERTIGO, the largest yacht project ever undertaken by New Zealand shipyard Alloy Yachts, is one example of this. The vessel was completed in 2011 and was voted sailing yacht of the year the following year at the World Superyacht Awards in Istanbul.

She features a stunning interior designed by French based Christian Liaigre, who was working to the client’s brief, which stipulated that the yacht must feel ‘urban at sea.’ To achieve this brief, Liaigre created a highly contemporary feel, matching brushed oak with stainless steel and using a natural colour palette throughout the interior of the vessel.

The following pictures show how this urban feel was achieved with custom designed furniture, white surfaces and sandblasted woods and now leaves VERTIGO with a light interior atmosphere. She is now internationally recognised for her stunning interior, picking up the ShowBoats Design Awards for Styling Interior Layout and the Prix du Design Award at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show.

To experience the interior for yourself, sailing yacht VERTIGO is available for charter with Y.CO from €225,000. She sleeps up to twelve in her six cabins.
