Luxisto continues reviewing the most luxury hotels all over the world. Our choice last week was the stunning Casa Gangotena Hotel in Quito and today we are happy to introduce The Upper House Hotel in Hong Kong.

Designed as a luxurious home away from home, The Upper House is conscious of making a positive difference to the environment by, among other initiatives, remaining as paperless as possible. The iPod-touch is provided in each of the 117 guest rooms and suites offering a comprehensive source for all hotel information, room service, local area information, weather, news and feedback forms at the touch of a screen, replacing printed hotel directories.

Luxury suite

Upon arrival at the luxury hotel in Pacific Place, guests are welcomed by a paperless ’arrival experience’ allowing guests to check in anywhere in the hotel with a member of the Guest Experience team using the iPad containing all the guest information and preferences.

The one stop Guest Experience team replaces the traditional hotel reception counters and is able to provide services such as concierge, guest relations, bell and cashiering at any location throughout the hotel. Prior to arrival, all guests are contacted by a designated member of the team who ensures all requirements and preferences are confirmed in time for arrival.

The Upper House is aware of the importance in this digital age to keep guests connected and provides complimentary wired and wireless high speed internet in guest rooms and public areas.

In keeping with the hotel’s principles to reduce guests’ ‘carbon footprints’ whilst remaining connected at all times, the hotel’s energy saving Lexus RX450H hybrid cars are equipped with complimentary WiFi on board, ideal for business and leisure travellers on the move. This WiFi has uninterrupted connection all the way from the airport to the hotel.

Comfort in your bathroom

The modern digital style of the hotel is complemented by the high comfort of its rooms. Each room offers a ‘maxi-bar’ full of fresh drinks, snacks and great wines, luxury down bedding ensures complete comfort, while the penthouse suites can boast outstanding views and amazing tranquility which is so hard to find in a big city.

Banana-Chocolate Panckes

The Upper House restaurant called Café Gray Deluxe is another brilliant gem in a crown of the hotel. The contemporary interior design of the café with breath-taking harbour views and double height ceilings creates an energetic dining space. The seductive bar and lounge is highlighted by a 14-metre long bar which is symmetrical with an open kitchen where famous Michelin star chef Gray Kunz provides an international dining experience.
