We at Luxisto continue to research the luxury hotels all over the world to introduce the best of them to our readers. Last week we reviewed The Upper House hotel in Hong Kong and our choice this week is Nayara Springs Hotel in Costa Rica.

Nayara Springs is a collection of 16 luxury private villas, and sister hotel to the award-winning Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens. Built atop an untouched mountain in the Arenal rainforest, the property is surrounded by creeks, natural hot springs, and boasts sublime views of the third most active volcano on earth.

Nayara Springs Hotel - Swimming Pool

The main attraction of Nayara Springs is the plunge pools fed by mineral hot springs that are built into every villa. In addition to full butler service, all accommodations feature a private garden with open air shower, as well as indoor and outdoor lounging areas.

The villas are located steps away from a spa, yoga pavilion, oversized adult pool, and piano bar. All parts of the resort overlook a ravine, providing a true immersion in the rainforest.

At Amor-Loco, the poolside restaurant, guests can enjoy Latin American inspired sushi, fresh grilled fish and vegetables grown at the hotel’s organic garden.

Nayara Springs Hotel - Plunge Pool

Being close to nature, Nayara Springs is located just 2.5 hours from the capital of San Jose and sits in seclusion just outside the town of La Fortuna, in the foothills of the Arenal Volcano.  The Arenal Volcano National Park is host to one of the world’s highest concentrations of tropical plants and wildlife, and one of the most popular destinations in all of Costa Rica.

Guests have the option to book tours and adventures exclusive to Nayara, including:

  • Hikes to the volcano
  • Zip-lining through the rainforest
  • Riding in a Sky Tram for Arenal Volcano and lake views
  • Rafting on the Toro River (a Class III river)
